International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People

India Post is organising an International writing competition on "Write a letter to someone influential explaining why and how they should take action on the climate crisis". The said competition is open to participants aged 9 to 15 years. The competition will be held at selected venues/schools, to be notified later. Students are also allowed to write their composition from home and send the same through Speed Post only so as to reach Shri Ambikeshwar Behera (Circle Level Nodal Officer), Assistant Director (Philately), O/o the CPMG Assam Circle, Meghdoot Bhawan, Panbazar, Guwahati 781001 on or before 15 March 2022.

The prize money for Circle Level will be Rs 25,000/-, Rs 10,000/- and Rs 5,000/- for first, second and third place respectively. Where as for the national level the prize money will be Rs 50,000/-, Rs 25,000/- and Rs 10,000/- for first, second and third place respectively

Additionally, the best entry at the national level shall qualify as the official indian entry for the international level competition. The UPU shall select the award winning entries. Winners will receive a special medal, certificates and other prizes as decided by UPU. The Gold medalist also stands a chance to win a trip to UPU in Swizerland.
